Only KC knows the cost - as he was the consummate host
who specially arranged for all the meals in the VIP rooms!! Also, he had
specialist guides
to take us around - a native of Gulangyu island to be our tour guide
of the island, a native of Quanchou to take us around the place etc, and
a
beautiful waitress who lives around the hometown of OCH to tell
us about the area. We even got things without asking - e.g. my shoes were
polished with
the compliments of the hotel! Joo Ee can tell you more of the surprises
she had (also we were on the VIP floor!)
We cannot find appropriate words to thank KC for his generosity and
hospitality - we were "hock kei" to be his privileged guests!
